We’ve shot videos in a few industrial plants over the last couple years, and each one of them seems to present a new challenge. In general though, those challenges tend to lead to a creative way to get the shot, and always keeps the day interesting. Our recent video shoot in a paper mill was no different. Mainly though, this was one of the louder places we’ve been. Luckily, this production had no audio needs, but radios (and talking in general) were basically out the window thanks to the earplugs we had in all day.
Long story short, charades skills came in handy on this shoot:
See what we’re sayin’?
Industrial plants are generally huge, and this one was no different, though oddly enough it was considered a “mini mill” which is tough to comprehend as you can see from the size of the operation in the video. All of that space allowed us to move around and have a little fun with camera movement throughout the day. Dana dollies, sliders, mini cranes... camera moves for days. And we’re firm believers that any time you can squeeze in nice movement, you bump up the quality of the video. All in all, it was a great production day! Stay tuned for the final video, until then check our some more of our work here.
